My Great Grandfather was a pumper in N Louisiana back in the 30's and the 40's. My oldest uncle retired from Baker Petrolite. My youngest uncle is an OIM for a drilling company and they are drilling wells in Mexico. The last one they popped used 8" tubing. To put that into prospective, 2 9/16 tubing is standard for tubing. The well came in at 112,000bbls oil a day. You might say I have oil in my veins.
