My thoughts on the proxy- positive and negative.
When I first read the release, I was nauseous. I have since calmed down and thought about possible reasons for the increase.
First the negatives. Why was the PR put out after market close on Friday?
This is usually the time reserved for less than favorable or preceived bad news.
I think we will take a big hit in the morning unless GC posts his blog pre-market with some NEW info and a well worded explaination for the AS increase. If GC blogs something like "We need to increase the AS to 2 billion to give the company more flexibility and increased negotiating power for our ongoing talks with partners" the market will respond poorly.
If the reason for the increase is for a merger, buy-out,spin-off, etc. GC will not be able to say much about it in a blog.
Why the need to increase the AS to 2 billion?
There are a dozen reasons.
They don't need money short term. They have around 3mm cash and a 20mm line of credit form LPC.
Probable revenue starting from LYMPRO in the next few months.
Possible grants coming from MJFF, DOT, Family offices etc.
Possible upfront money from JV deal/deals
Something is in the works. IMO they are going to license/spin off the diagnostic division or will acquire another company.
Mr. Huffman was brought in for this reason..IMO
