Re: PaperProphet #11970
Sure. First, I have been to the plant numerous times and met most of the people up their. I've seen first hand what the machine is capable of. As far as the initial claims, no doubt in hindsight they were exaggerated. I cannot say with certainty if it was intentional or not. As I stated before, I think the company can succeed, but not to the extent I once did. The fact that their feedstock options has been significantly narrowed hinders the degree of the companies success. No doubt about that. But, as in any other business, improvements come along. Challenges are met, obstacles overcome. I do believe they currently have a machine better than their competitors.
Company missteps along with numerous other issues with ex girlfriends, failed potential business ventures....the list is long and has been gone over by each side of the aisle aplenty so I won't be specific, have damaged the company and stock.
They need competent management. I do not believe they have ever had that. And I mean never.
I am a long, but I have sold some from time to time and invested in other stocks. My CB is still higher than I'd like, but I'm not adding until I see some concrete proof a sale has been made. I don't feel as though I need to catch the very bottom. If they have a viable product, there will be time to get in at a good price.
I have stated previously my thoughts as to who I thought would be potential customers and why, so I won't rehash all that. That hasn't changed. IMO, it's obvious some work is being done. Recent filings showing Heddle and JB supporting the company out of their pocket tells me they have confidence the company can survive and be successful. Recent DEC AIR AND SOLID WASTE approvals indicate to me that the company continues to press on.
So in a nutshell, I think the company can be a leader in this somewhat new sector, but they need improved management and a real Board.
