Yes you may be right.
In business, it is about strategies, leverage to place oneself at a favourable position for business protection, deal negotiation etc.
Like it or not, when a company is in survival mode, the public shareholders are the least of the CEO concern. Gerald has been an exception by being forthcoming but at times may be caught in between business strategies and execution constraints.
