Actually, Amarantus has the exclusive option to license the P16 IP for a period of 12 months while a formal licensing agreement is worked out.
True, nothing is definitive one way or the other until the actual licensing agreement is signed. But in the 12 month interim, no one else will have the option to license P16 except Amarantus. In my opinion, Dr. Arendt wouldn't limit himself to an exclusive option agreement with Amarantus unless he was confident a mutually agreeable licensing arrangement could be worked out with the company. I feel pretty confident Amarantus will get the licensing for P16 if they want it.
