Netflix said it added 1.69 million video-streaming subscribers during the quarter (IN ONE QUARTER ) to give it 50.05 million subscribers in more than 40 countries. The company estimates it will add 3.69 million new streaming subscribers in its third quarter.
Revenue from video-streaming totaled $1.15 billion, up from $837 million in the second quarter of 2013.
