We all know what "competency" is, but the problem is that in the context of certification, why would we know - or care to know - what this check means? My interpretation is that the aircraft dispatchers were found to be capable of performing their job....is this something we should be excited about? Is it not assumed that when they start training people, that said people should be capable of performing their function? Do we need a PR whenever somebody is found fit for their job?

IMO - all of management needs a serious competency check, because they're beginning to seem very sketchy as of late. No PRs after a burst of PRs....these guys don't know how to advertise a company properly.

To put this in words that LT might use: you can't just screw me and tell me afterward that you have a very deadly STD. That's NOT alright.
