I actually know Rudy, and I don't mean I shook his hand once or twice. I even worked on his first campaign for mayor, and I'm well-acquainted with all he did for that city. But, when I say the 9/11 mythology, I speak from personal knowledge. He was exceedingly brave that day, but what happened that day has consumed his every political move.

1) Rudy did reach out to both previous mayors regarding running the marathon 2 months after 9/11, and 2) regarding Bloomberg, he didn't just do the politically correct thing, Rudy's advice was to continue with the marathon. I just think it's important to keep the facts straight here.
