When you're running a share selling scheme the stock collapses as everything is repriced lower on a per share basis. It allows someone / fund to cover at a much lower price and leave retail shareholders out-of-pocket.

The BCAP bashing on the iHub board by comparison is because there aren't shares for sale for a year and the shorts are getting desperate. When the S-1 is granted its a mandatory cover at any price.
