Ron Paul Launches "Voices of Liberty" to Amplify Liberty Messages

Ron Paul doesn’t know how to retire.

Last month the former presidential candidate and godfather of the liberty movement testified on Capitol Hill in favor of auditing the Federal Reserve.

He records podcasts every day and writes insightful articles on nearly every contemporary foreign and domestic policy issue.

Now, the libertarian-leaning former congressmen has announced a venture that promises to “further amplify the messages of the freedom movement.”

Voices of Liberty is described as being “powered by Ron Paul,” and the man himself published a letter at the Ron Paul Channel explaining how he wants the new website to work. Paul writes:

Voices of Liberty will offer more video, audio and editorial from well-known champions of liberty as well as everyday citizens in the freedom movement. We are also producing new shows that offer valuable information you can use in your daily life — from learning and practicing your constitutional rights to the future of monetary policy, business and technology.

With your participation, Voices of Liberty will be the go-to social platform for liberty-minded people. Together, we will challenge the status quo through staying informed on today’s most pressing issues and engaging in constructive discourse to develop actionable solutions to achieve the change the liberty movement demands.

Although the names of the “well-known champions of liberty” who will be featured on Voices of Liberty have not been released, in a statement on the website of the Carl Menger Center for the Study of Money and Banking, Paul-Martin Foss, the founder, president, and executive director of the Arlington, Virginia-based think tank, revealed that he will be “providing content on a weekly basis” to the new outlet.

Paul’s social media savvy is second to none. Although born half a dozen years before the United States entered World War II, Paul’s appeal to voters after the Reagan inauguration is legendary.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, the almost 80-year-old packed the house at one university after another. A few headlines evince Paul’s popularity with Millennials:

“Ron Paul Speaks to Sold out MSU Crowd (Filled 4,000 seat Auditorium)”

“2,500 students and supporters filled Rudder Auditorium at Texas A&M “

“Ron Paul Speaks to Packed Auditorium at DePauw”

The admiration is mutual. Ron Paul recognizes the power of young activists and the amplification of their voice that is possible only through the Internet. He writes in the Voices of Liberty announcement letter:

The Internet has allowed the message of liberty to spread like wildfire and that’s why we believe the restoration of liberty has a real fighting chance. As a project spearheaded by me and the Voices of Liberty team, we have the power to accomplish our goals. And with your help, we will be a formidable voice that influences elections, strikes down useless legislation and promotes social awareness on the issues that matter most to us all.

We’ve had enough of the unjustified wars, unconstitutional surveillance, extrajudicial drone assassinations, the continual weakening of the dollar, draconian drug laws, and the outright lies and deceptive doublespeak spouted by politicians with clandestine agendas.

We want to provide a brighter future for generations to come by ending these trillion-dollar wars, restoring economic prosperity, instituting real government transparency and ridding our country of warrantless spying on our private communications, among many other things.

By continuing your support and actively participating in Voices of Liberty, you can help determine the fate of our great nation.

In a famous letter to Samuel Johnson written in 1750, Benjamin Franklin identified the education of young people as the best hope for the perpetuation of liberty. He said:

I think with you, that nothing is of more importance for the public weal, than to form and train up youth in wisdom and virtue. Wise and good men are, in my opinion, the strength of a state: much more so than riches or arms, which, under the management of Ignorance and Wickedness, often draw on destruction, instead of providing for the safety of a people.

Speaking to students at Syracuse University in March, Paul predicted new and exciting times ahead, with Millennials leading the way.

“Something is developing in this country and the young generation is going to be very much aware of it because we are already in transition,” Paul said. “It’s going to be very different. It’s not going to be the conventional Democrats or the conventional Republicans and conservatives vs. liberals. I think the whole world is changing and the United States is right in the middle of it.”

As of press time, Voices of Liberty is still “happening” and has not gone live. Those interested in being notified of the launch date may sign up on the website.
