I don't have the np1 yet but the sound from the tv speakers is very bad. I run the sound through a receiver and of course that is great. I do have the U Vision cable and it definetly improves the picture and sound quality of the Seiki tv. The only problem with the cable is sometimes a commercial displayed in less then hd or changing to a non hd channel causes the tv to reset, where it flashes a blue screen. Sometimes the blue screen stays on and I have to turn the tv and cable box off and back on to clear the blue screen. Playing Dvd or watching premium channels is great ....no problems.
