A big problem is who regulates the regulators.

Special interest groups control the politicians and politicians appoint regulators. There is a revolving door for regulators to move to the "private" sector they formerly regulated and where financial rewards await them.

My view is the is just too much damned government. The equivalent of the wild west might just be better than expecting justice and equity from the government.

Really a sad state of affairs.
