if i remember correctly they keep the brakes fully on and power each engine to full power one at a time to make sure all parts of the aircraft including the engines are working. if they had all 4 engines on at full power then they would be taking off lol it is one of the last parts in the process it is just about time to start getting excited if you havent already lol
