Interesting, what browser are you using and what is the filetype?
I suppose a secondary option for you would be to type "[" "i" "m" "g" "]" followed by the link for the url image from the other site "[" "/"i"m"g"]" with no quotes anywhere. The link for the image can be found by right clicking it and selecting "copy image URL". This would be kind of a round about process but it would work.
For example this links to your other profile picture:
