Fortunately the plane doesn't need to be flown for training purposes. With the extremely high cost associated with flying airliners, the FAA allows all training (and even establishing and maintaining currency) in a flight simulator provided that the simulator is an "approved device." Nearly all TRUE simulators are "approved."
