Starting May 1, 2014, each Retail Marijuana Product Manufacturer will be required to submit
one sample from each production batch to a licensed and certified Retail Marijuana Testing
Facility; this sample, which must be representative of the individually packaged product for sale
to the public, must be tested to ensure that it does not contain more than 100mg of active THC.
Each production batch will be held in the MED Marijuana Inventory Tracking System until its
test sample receives a passing score. If the sample fails potency testing then the Retail
Marijuana Product Manufacturer must follow the failed potency testing regulation found in
MED Rule R‐1507 C.
