I talked to my broker and they said that the shares are not available for people to short. I went under the assumption of "trust no one" and tried to set them for $5 a share despite what the broker said. Unfortunately, there is some sort of limitation on the client for my broker that won't let me set the price significantly higher than the market value. It's really annoying.
