The picture of the raccoon brought back a lot of fond memories. Ten or more years back I used to feed raccoons on my patio. My bride/CJ/DaintyDarlingDove used to even buy cheap Wal Mart cookies to satisfy their sweet tooth. I named most of the coons, usually after my on line birdge partners, for example Texcoon, Seacoon, Gabcoon, etc., and each had a personality and looks every bit as different as you or me.

My favorite out of the bunch was a young female I had named Nanacoon. She was always the first to arrive for the evening feeding and would come to the patio while the sun was still up. I would sit on my butt with legs crossed and hand feed her butter cookies, her favorite. It was always a delight to have her take her "hands" and feel my knees and legs as if giving an inspection and she would always run her "hands" all over mine.

I was hoping that she would one day bring some babies to the patio but she was hit and killed by a car or truck.
