In "B.C. logging firm to cut sunken timber submerged in Panama lake" (www.canada.com), it is announced that on 12/20/12 Coast Eco Timber was given the "go ahead" by ANAM to log their 15 year concession on Lake Bayano. The article is dated 1/3/13.

The article also states that "Husby, 37, actually began harvesting and milling logs up to four metres in diameter from the lake a year ago under a joint venture with the Kuna de Madhigandi indigenous people." From that we can infer there is a way HIMR could have logged before receiving the final permit. Whether they have or not we don't know, but they have used the phrase "full operations" when talking about this final on-site permit - now that they have it they can begin full operations. HIMR hasn't said partial operations has included some logging, but the article suggests it is possible. The phrase 'the lake' means they are talking about is Lake Bayano and not the work CET did on Lake Gutan. If the writer had that in mind he wrote it incorrectly - that happens too.
