Re: Loco motion #1418
I think it was pretty clear from Gerald's tweets over the weekend that he intended to update us on MANF, so the fact that LymPro wasn't mentioned in the blog doesn't cause me any concern. Gerald updated us on LymPro only 2 weeks ago, and continues to maintain they are on track for commercialization in 2014. Lack of a mention in this blog doesn't mean anything. The focus was on updating MANF.
Concerning your family doctor, it's one man's opinion. That doesn't mean much in the overall scheme of things. My doctor was skeptical of the accuracy of my wrist blood pressure monitor, until I brought it into the office with me and it matched his office results.
I feel that some doctors will be skeptical of the LymPro test until it achieves a level of use and reputation within the pharma research community, which just happens to be the initial group targeted in commercialization. There's a significant need for the test there, and as physicians see the impact of the test in AD trials, they'll be more likely to use it in their own practices. Others who like to be on the leading edge of medicine will likely adopt it early on, and word of mouth combined with great analytical performance results will create growth outside of pharma research.
