Not at all. If I'm researching a stock, and many of the people promoting the stock are totally full of crap (e.g. they're totally exaggerating everything or even totally making stuff up, or they believe everything without question or evidence like they're in a cult or something, etc.), that's a red flag for me, and I know there's lots of other investors (i.e. smart investors) who would say the same thing.

You do know what a "pump and dump" is, right? Outrageous/exaggerated claims are their hallmark. That's why smart investors get skeptical when they hear outrageous/exaggerated claims.
