Oh I think that the average person is very challenged in investing. There is way too much paid advertising out there that they choose to use as a basis for their investment decisions, and way too little objective research. iHub is there, as are other SMBs, as a seeming wealth of information, when in fact they are a crock of you-know-what.
Most people would be better off in a mutual fund. My mutual find is up 7% since January, that is 14% annualized. The market is cooling off, the capital gains are not there like they were last year. When rates tick up I am into bonds and funds
I met some investors the other day, ones that use SMBs, my investment approach, how I look for stocks... they were blown away. To me it is pretty easy, basic knowledge.
