I can't think of another reason. My guess is that's the reason why Mr. Heddle was tapped on the shoulder by Mr. Bordynuik for the CEO position in the first place. I don't think brilliance was a criteria. I think of all the people Mr. Bordynuik met, Mr. Heddle was the one with the most unquestioning loyalty.
