That article hasn't anything to do with people that are "paid to bash", especially given the fact that there is no such thing.
It has to do with using someone to trade stocks illegally without their knowledge. For example: an investor who is not allowed to trade stocks uses someone to make the transactions for them in an account not linked to the individual that is not allowed to make such transactions.
