Costly (new) EPA regulations hurt families.

Currently there are nearly 30 major regulations and more than 170 major policy rules the EPA is trying to impose on energy producers. The results from recent analysis from the National Economic Research Associates on the costs of these regulations are alarming. NERA's research shows that by 2020 the cost of just two of the proposed EPA mandatesSEmDthe Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and the Utility MACT rules--would be devastating. These two rules alone will result in the loss of 1.4 million jobs and an average utility bill increase of 11.5 percentSEmDand in some cases, more than 20 percent.
