There is (or at least was) a way for free users to ignore as many 'friends' as you like on iFud.
You have to wait until Happy Hour on Friday, then you can place as many as you like on Ignore during that hour. The only problem seems to be that if you try to alter the list (say next Friday for example) you have to start from the beginning and place them all on Ignore again.
This may be an error on IFud's part and it may have been fixed. Give it a try tomorrow 5 PM! It used to work, so might just be worth a try.
