I would agree that Costco will get Marani a bigger bang upfront. Here is an interesting article on Washington State.

Most bar/restaurant owners do not want to deal with more than 2-3 alcohol distributors. In southern California they could add Specialty Cellars as a distributor but along with that comes more paperwork/reporting. However if they want to try Marani on their bar shelf or have request for it they could simply pick up a bottle at RD. So as demand picks up at restaurants/bars RD will be a valuable avenue for accessibility.
In California I have seen alcohol promotion booths at Costco however tasting was not offered. I just went to the Costco in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and they actually offered wine tasting. I participated and bought 2 bottles.
Lastly I receive Costco emails but I do not recall any alcohol promotions in them.
