So with all these delays, I've been thinking. Has anyone given any thought to the fact that patents have an expiration date, and after that date anyone can use the "technology" without fear of being sued? If memory serves, a patent is only good for 18 years, so having a patent is great only if you are able to capitalize on that patent, meaning putting the technogy to use. Does anyone know when the TigerLynk patent was first issued? If it was in 1997 one year remains on the patent rights. I'd sure like to know how much longer the patent is good for. Does anyone have this information?
