I'm not exactly sure myself as I'm not familiar with corporate law. I assumed the parent company is somehow protected from things that occur with the subsidiary, such as bankruptcy.
Keep in mind though that REGEN limits it's liabilities by licensing or selling the treatments at phase 2 or 3. This is a brilliant way to ensure a minimal loss/maximum revenue and reduces liabilities from lawsuits. Though the treatments are not like drugs where there may be a ton of side effects, even still, it's a brilliant business model.
