That is an apt point. A competitor did run into such a problem. The WaterForest Group pulled long ago cut logs from a river in Belize, processed the wood to some degree and treated it with a pesticide they thought to be best environmentally (it was fumigated with Dursban) and Canadian customs deemed that inadequate and required it be fumigated with methyl bromide which is normally prohibited but discretionarily allowed/mandated in worrisome cases. Their shipment to the U.S. didn't require using methyl bromide. ("Rare lumber in limbo due to regulations" The Working Forest Newspaper)
