The legal team would be my guess. Their history shows they know how to get CEOs and companies out of serious messes. But for them to do their job, I am guessing they have made JR agree that literally everything goes through them.

They can try to push away liability with the limited liability statement on their Attorney Letter, but lets face it, they absolutely don't want to be associated with a suspended company for whom they gave letters of assurance for. They have nearly as much incentive to clear KMAG and Jeff as Jeff does himself.
