OP had spoken to an agent at Scottrade and confirmed they are real and based on real certs. I haven't called Scottrade yet as I don't believe that Scottrade would simply read a PR and put place holder shares in my account as Cassy would want us to believe. That is not how brokers work. They wait till they have the stocks in hand before they post. I have big board stocks transferred into my Scottrade account every quarter and I know how diligent they are about what they post to one's account. I have had discussions about the time it takes them to post to my account when clearly they have the CERTs from my UBS account in hand. They won't even post it to your account until the shares are confirmed. So, I think it highly unlikely that they would post "place holder" shares as Cassy suggests for a sub penny stock. That is simply ridiculous. So, I fully believe the stocks deposited into my account from PVEC are real. No ifs, ands or buts.
