Hurtszz, nice catch. You are totally right, the ignore feature should only be activated on a one-way basis depending on who actually initially set the ignore. I imagine this fix would require an additional DB field and site build so it may take them awhile. I still cannot figure out, as a Mod, how to Sticky posts.
