Your not comparing apples to apples, FB came public at something like 40/share and that's not pennies. They also began trading on a major exchange, not even close to the scenario that were in with FITX. Read my reply about LVLT and why they did a r/s and then you'lll better understand why a company would do that.
I'm beginning to believe that people don't understand how the math works regarding a r/s, You divide the shares by a certain number and then multiply the current share price by that same number so if you have 1000 shares trading at a dime, you have 1 hundred dollars. If there was a 10:1 r/s the next day you end up with 100 shares trading at a dollar so you r total investment is still 1 hundred dollars.
