On April 27, 2011, I saw that tornado from my bedroom window a few blocks away-plain as day. Tore about half of our town down, but not counting the lives lost, we had some of the most beautiful 100s of year old trees that were just shredded like tooth picks. Some of the most beautiful drives through neighborhoods you could imagine-all gone. The town actually looks better now but those trees will never be replaced.
