"There are 3 sides to every story........we want yours"
Well, you have it.
The only plastics which JBI is allowed to use are hdpe, pp and ldpe. Those are hydrocarbon only so the pyrolyzed product will also be hydrocarbon-only. That probably will have some value. The problem: Plastics sorted to those types command a market price of around $800/ton...pound for pound only slightly lower than diesel. No catalyst or amazing processor design will change that.
If mixed plastics are used, which JBI is not allowed to use per the permit, the market price for that scrap plastic will be cheaper...but the output will be of little value. In that case he may as well pyrolyze municipal solid waste.
The symptoms of an economically worthless process show as delays, 'mistakes', continuous financing needed, changes in business plans, etc....
There's no way around the math...but Mr. Bordynuik sings and dances to mislead investors...many investors who undoubtedly still believe he can make diesel for under $10/bbl.

Yes, I understand your penny stock also is the real deal, created with the inventiveness of Edison and destined to be the next Microsoft. Yes, I understand that the delays are also only because your company is making their product and/or technology even more revolutionary.
