I suppose in other parts of the country they are regarded and a type of ground squirrel, when you shoot them they explode making a popping sound. They carry terrible diseases like hantavirus and such so the park rangers like to keep them to a minimum, they're to fast for my fat dog to catch but is sure is funny watching him.
