In regards to short protection:
As mentioned before - I typical buy, hold and just casually check in my stock prices so not all that familiar w/ trading strategies. I've seen the posts before about sell orders at $5 to protect from shorts. I use Scottrade - they won't allow a sell order that is more than something in the 25 cent range. Is that just a Scottrade thing.
