Plastic to diesel company Vadxx looks to raise $1.5m
15 Apr 2014
plastic170The alternative fuels company Vadxx is looking to raise $1.5m selling equity according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company, which makes diesel, gas and solid fuel from waste plastic, has already raised $500,000 and this is its first attempt to raise venture capital, according to the filing.
Vadxx is one of a number of plastics to energy companies that has raised cash over recent months.
On 1 April JBI Energy reported that it had raised $320,000 in a funding round targeting a total of $1m.
JBI Energy partnered with Crayola in September last year to create a program that encouraged students to dispose of used Crayola marker pens through an in-school collection process. Markers are then sent to JBI where they will be used as feedstock to produce diesel and other liquid fuels.
