Prior to founding Baltia Air Lines, Inc., in 1979, Mr. Dmitrowsky immigrated from Latvia, learned the English language, attended a U.S. university in engineering and business, founded American Kefir Corporation, a dairy distribution company, which completed a public offering in 1986 and from which he retired in 1987 and became a U.S. citizen. As a hobby, he designed and began construction of a personal flying machine, became a pilot, and pursued an interest in securities.
