U.S. stock futures firm ahead of ISM, car sales
General Motors and Ford could move after sales data
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — U.S. stock futures edged slightly higher ahead of a key manufacturing index and auto-sales data that should provide concrete evidence on whether the weather has been holding back the U.S. economy.

Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBE JM4) climbed 39 points, or 0.2%, to 16,412, while those for the S&P 500 index (GLC:SPM4) added 4.30 points, or 0.2%, to 1,868.90.
