Exploration work conducted by De LA Cruz in 2007 was confirmed by reconnaissance
work in 2009 such that gold is found prevalent throughout the Concession. Further
evidence of gold values is shown by other operators to the West of the Affinity Gold
Concession. Due to the topography, some of the Concession may be too rugged and/or
lacking of gravel beds thick enough to mine economically. Likewise, there are deep
ravines that cut the gravel and reduce tonnages. This will be confirmed during the Phase
2 Mining Plan. Nevertheless, a simple calculation based on conservative measurements
show the following:
- Affinity Gold owns the 500 hectare Concession
- Each 100 hectare is 10,000m square or 1,000,000 m2
- Therefore; the Concession has 4,500,000 m2 in total area.
- Consider, only 75% could be mined due to topography or 3.375,000 m2
- This can be mined to depths of 8m for a total of 27,000,000 m3.
- This volume is equivalent to 54,000,000 Tonnes
- 54 M Tonnes @ .0337Oz / Tonne could yield 1,819,800 Ounces Gold
