One of the nice features here on the Hangout, is that we all have unlimited PMs. Maybe we need to be better individual moderators of what we post publicly.
I don't discuss certain home issues in front of my children. They cannot handle some things and some things don't directly involve them. But, I still need to communicate them with my wife, so we have a private conversation, and even though we might be upset or have difficult issues, we put on a good face for the children, but yet take the necessary action to remedy whatever is wrong.
When we post in anger or exuberance, or in any kind of emotional extreme. we tend to go overboard. Most people do not have good communication skills via the written message, so even at times, we don't "say" what we think we are "saying".
Not saying we should stop posting, but maybe type it up, read it, think about it, (how will it be received, does it transmit what I am trying to convey, does it help the conversation), then either post it or delete it. Not everything posted has to be positive, but anything that is negative in nature, really needs to be delivered in the proper way, so it is received as sincere and accurate, and not merely "just another upset investor now bashing his company".
One of the big reasons I came here, was because of the more responsible posting that was occurring. Reading this board for the past few weeks? Ihub, Part II. We have seen the enemy, and it is us.
