I just got inspiration - pure speculation but assume the insiders in the company were trading the float, and shorting when they wanted to reign the PPS back in a little. Then they cover in the same day, and keep some of the leftover profits still in the shorts, this way when they want to blow the stock up up and away they just cover the rest and boom - they don't take any loss, and the PPS blows up.

Just a guess, but these operators can be very crafty with these micro-caps.
