Posting that type of stuff on these cyber boards, which are mostly unsupervised and lack oversight is a grey area (no relation to the grey sheets) mind you.  It isn't necessarily defamation if it is someone's opinion, even if it isn't true.  I can say OJ is a murdering SOB and killed Nicole and that is my opinion, but won't necessarily go to jail for defaming his already shady character as it is just speculation.  Just as you can think I'm an A-hole and say it, even if it isn't true (which it is on many levels), and not get in any trouble since it is your perception of me.

I think the consistancy of his posts is what is leading many to believe that he is defamming Jeff's character, but he isn't backing it with any substance so it basically comes down to his assinine opinion.  I wouldn't mind telling him that he is an as*hole and a fairly transparent one to boot, but that would get deleted immediately and I don't visit that site anymore anyway; but I certainly know the character everyone is referring to.  All of course IMHO.  <---- See I protect myself from defamation.
