paradigm shifts are disruptive, but only time will determine how long it takes for a complete transition and how it all shakes out.
I have read too, about the demise of STBs, but I don't see it as being today. Think about other technologies, (TV/music, phonograph........,communications, telegraph/phone......) have evolved over time. Things are definitely happening quicker now, but I don't think one can put a date to it.
