Remember, hemp had many uses as a textile fiber. A lot of times it was used to make rope, especially on ships because of its strength and water resistance. JB, I am sure you have heard the term to "smoke rope." I am not morally concerned about it because it is making use of the non-intoxicating part of this plant. In fact, let's grow the heck out of it to reduce the incentive to grow straight up cannabis. If people in Central America can make money doing this rather than growing cannabis for the Mexican drug Lords, then it's a win-win situation.
