How does the price rise ?? That's an easy one. There are all kinds of reasons for people buying or selling a stock. In the penny market people buy a stock because they have the money to buy shares. Many people do their homework on a company and do the best they can to buy shares. Penny people do not walk around with tons of money in their pockets. The reason is simple. If they had tons of money to begin with they would use it to buy shares of stock they believe in.
When shares of a stock are put up for sale as the 5488 shares of TelVue were put up for sale and are not owned by those putting the shares up for sale the price rise comes when those same people try to by back those shares they did not own in the first place and now have to get them from people who will not sell.
It all depends on how much those who need shares are willing to pay those who have shares.
It also depends on how long those who own shares are willing to hold and not sell to those who need shares.
You see it's a matter of supply and demand. Those who have will not supply and those who need will continue to try to demand.

Holding TelVue shares has made it the billion dollar bomb shell it is.
