If I may try and answer that one, even though I speak for him.  He is here for the response and to try and sway those that can still easily be shaken or swayed, and unfortunately, most of the doomsday device know that a certain percentage can always be swayed.  Breakage.  He is trying to be cerebral about it, but not doing too good of a job in that aspect.  Plus, there always needs to be one in the room for others to debate and correct.  It adds an element to the interest level, don't you think?
