Of course, news releases will change the pattern for individual stocks.  But if a stock is doing nothing, and no news is expected, selling before the week of the 13th could reduce losses.  Conversely, buying on or just before the 13th might allow one to buy at the lows.  Something to watch for if this guy has researched this trend.
